Financial Analytics Consultant (Sales & Marketing)
Contract Position | 6-12 Months
Hybrid - 3days/week - Mounds View, MN or Plymouth, MN
(Local candidate only - MN)
Required Background:
- Must have finance background and prior experience directly supporting sales and marketing as a financial analyst or finance manager, or finance director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales and marketing effectiveness metrics for new product launch initiatives
- Conduct account-level analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization
- Evaluate market development strategies and customer acquisition channels
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools
- Develop new analytical frameworks and methodologies to measure campaign performance
- Collaborate with finance, marketing, and sales teams to define KPIs and success metrics
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership Identify data quality issues and recommend improvements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, or related field 6 years of experience in data analysis
- Strong background in sales and marketing analytics Experience with account analysis and customer segmentation
- Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation
- Advanced Excel skills Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter who can propose and validate new analytical approaches
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar BI tools (Tableau, Looker)
- Experience supporting new product launches or go-to-market initiatives
- Prior experience with direct-to-consumer (DTC) business models required Knowledge of marketing attribution models and customer lifetime value analysis
- Experience with market development and expansion analytics
