We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with a strong legal background to join our growing team as a Legal Content Specialist. This individual should ideally have prior experience as a practicing attorney or at the least attained a Juris Doctor degree. The Legal Content Specialist will be responsible for creating (primarily with use of AI tools), reviewing, and editing articles and other content related to legal matters for a non-legal audience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating the public about the law and the ability to break down complex legal concepts into easily digestible content.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging, informative, and well-structured content on various legal topics for a non-legal audience with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools.
- Review and edit articles, blog posts, and other content for accuracy, clarity, and relevance to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including editorial, marketing, and product, to develop content strategies that effectively communicate complex legal concepts to a non-legal audience.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on legal matters to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure all content produced adheres to legal and ethical guidelines, as well as any relevant regulations or laws.
- Assist with the development of new content formats and the improvement of existing ones to better engage our audience.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and ideally previous experience as a practicing attorney.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex legal information for a non-legal audience.
- Familiarity with legal concepts and terminology across a broad range of practice areas.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
