Supervises and coordinates shredder production and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate Shredder. Perform preparations for start-up and shut down in accordance with established procedures.
- Direct activities of production employees.
- Be a good communicator.
- Monitor attendance of employees.
- Train new employees.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment, grounds, and building.
- Maintain a clean work area during and at the end of shift.
- Remain compliant with state and local laws and company policy.
- All other duties as required.
- Have extensive knowledge and perform maintenance on the shredder as needed.
- Ensure spare parts are maintained at an appropriate level.
Qualifications
- Extensive shredder operation and maintenance knowledge.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Ability to frequently work with heights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to successfully interact with employees and management and effectively complete paperwork.
- Strong computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail.
- Must be highly self-motivated.
- A clear understanding of and adherence to safety regulations.
- Team player dedicated to the organization.
- Detail oriented.
- Good judgmental skills.
