We are seeking a Fermenation Processing Technician to support post-fermentation processing, product bottling, and laboratory operations. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced biotech environment.
What You’ll Do
Post-Fermentation & Downstream Processing
- Assist with preparation and downstream processing of microbial fermentations
- Monitor filtration, vats, and other processing equipment
- Support product bottling, packaging, and shipping
Laboratory & Facility Support
- Prepare media and reagents for fermentation and lab use
- Operate lab equipment including autoclaves, incubators, and filtration systems
- Maintain clean and organized lab and production areas
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and glassware cleaning
Documentation & Inventory
- Record notes on operations, samples, and projects
- Maintain inventory of lab supplies and consumables
What We’re Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred: some college or lab experience)
- At least 1 year of lab or production experience in microbiology, fermentation, or biotech
- Ability to follow aseptic techniques and standard lab safety procedures
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document work accurately
Preferred
- Experience with microbial culture, fermentation, or filtration
- Familiarity with Excel and Word processing
- Prior experience in a biotech or lab production setting
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
- Work safely with biological materials and chemicals
