Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Benefits Analy Manager, Health and Welfare Benefits st to join our Health & Welfare Benefits Team, reporting to the Senior Director, Health & Welfare.
The Benefits Manager supports the Health & Welfare Team with the strategy, design, implementation, and ongoing administration of the organization’s health & welfare programs. The role supports compliance, vendor and broker relationship management, and partnering closely with H&W leadership on strategy and improvements, and often partners with HR, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
Candidates must have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, preferably within a corporate benefits department and/or service provider environment or similar background. Candidate must have strong knowledge of Health and Welfare plans from an insurance, compliance and administration perspective and must possess exceptional customer service skills and operations experience with a strong work ethic.
This role will be based in our Stamford, CT office and requires regular in-office presence five days per week.
Essential Functions:
- Administer the ongoing management of employee benefit programs (e.g., medical, dental, life, wellness), disability and leave of absence, including U.S. and (where applicable) international plans
- Assist with annual open enrollment, including timeline management, employee communications, and coordination with vendors, brokers, and internal partners.
- Manage vendor relationships, and service issues; escalate and resolve complex member concerns (billing, eligibility, system issues, and related administration matters)
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll to ensure accurate deductions, eligibility feeds, enrollments, and day-to-day operational execution.
- Administer leaves of absence, ensuring adherence to applicable policies and legal requirements
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible benefits administration experience, including hands-on ownership of U.S. health and welfare plans
- Working knowledge of benefits compliance requirements (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA) and experience partnering with legal/compliance resources as needed
- Experience preferred regarding vendor management (carriers/TPAs/brokers), renewals, and benefit plan operations
- Strong analytical capability, including advanced Excel skills and experience using HRIS/benefits administration systems (e.g., Workday or similar)
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to translate complex benefits topics into employee-friendly guidance
- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and sound judgment
- Project management skills to run renewals/open enrollment and multiple concurrent initiatives
- Customer-service mindset with structured problem solving for escalated member issues
- Data-driven decision making; ability to build and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across HR, Finance, Payroll, and external partners
- Strong teamwork capability is a must

US Salary Range
$100,000 — $125,000 USD
