We have an immediate need for an eLearning/Content Development expert to join us for a long-term independent contractor engagement (1099 status). The ideal background is someone with experience designing technical course content using the latest eLearning software. This role will consult with various OMG departments and OMG brand agencies to determine learning needs, then translate those needs into the creation and delivery of learning solutions that will have business impact. Education & Experience 5+ years’ experience designing and executing impactful learning experiences Previous experience with a major Learn Management System (LMS), Cornerstone a plus Experience with eLearning software (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.) Bachelor’s Degree education, social science, psychology, and communications Experience with designing technical course content Additional certifications or advanced learning in training/development or Instructional design Skills & Knowledge An appreciation for the proven learning methods to improve content retention, with a desire to continually learn new ways and hone approach A well-rounded experience meeting different training needs, with a lean towards technical and product training Familiar with the best practices in change management Able to write clear and concise documentation and learning communications Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, in particular learning delivered via teams Experience in media and digital training a plus Program Designer Collaborating with business transformation team in the development and implementation of a learning roadmap supporting new technology adoption Developing learning experiences that support the transfer of knowledge behind critical custom business solution systems and/or processes Confidence in the ability to lead discussions with stakeholders and identify ways in which learning can help solve the business need Providing learning experience thought leadership and governance on all technical learning projects as well as those supported by our vendors and other learning organizations Overseeing and providing guidance to the contractors that are assigned to perform operational instructional design and UI instruction Work with internal content designers and marketing team on all L&D communication materials Integrating appropriate metrics & reporting strategies into each learning program to ensure learning application, effectiveness, and retention Driving the development of a learning culture through the implementation of new and engaging learning experiences, technology and knowledge sharing opportunities Learning Event Support Manage a team to ensure smooth flow of all logistics behind training events Ensure the experience – from kick off to post session feedback -- is a highly effective environment to drive engagement and learning impact Listen to participants in a learning setting and apply greater context in the moment or improve on learning for future lessons Learn Management System (LMS) Mange a team in supporting the day-to-day upkeep of Learn Management System; systematic approach to content updates, troubleshooting, ensuring ease of use for the learner, reporting framework and cadence Strategize with the other team L&D leads on new approaches in design on the LMS to increase learning effectiveness #LI-JS2 This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
