What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner position at Omnicare Health Solutions?
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments on patients of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and seniors
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as necessary
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
- Provide health coaching and education to promote preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and other medical treatments as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner)
- Provide occupational health services, including pre-employment physicals and screenings
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
- Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Family Practice
- Experience in airway management, patient assessment, and health coaching
- Knowledge of family planning methods and reproductive health services
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
