What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Superintendent - Construction position at Omnibuild?
The ideal candidate will have at least one to three (3) years of onsite experience and knowledge of high-rise, out-of-the-ground, multi-family residential and hotel construction as an assistant superintendent.
We're looking for an Assistant Construction Superintendent with experience in both high-rise new construction and large-scale renovation in the New York City metropolitan area. Compensation will be commensurate with proven experience. Must have valid DOB SST credentials.

Primary Function:
- Oversee all aspects of work performed by subcontractors and support daily supervisory needs of the lead Project Superintendent and/or General Superintendent.
- Personnel management of site staff, labor force(s), and effective communication and relationships with trade subcontractors.
- Work with Superintendent Team to plan and execute performance requirements and meet project quality objectives.
- Coordinate completion and construction milestones to align with planned TCO schedule and have building in condition to pass inspection successfully.

Primary Duties:
- Work with onsite team for conformance to company policy and reporting requirements.
- Assist the Superintendent(s) in planning and execution, carry out daily needs of Superintendents and work with field team to drive project to completion.
- Assist the Team in dealings with NYC Agencies including the DOB and DOT.
- Maintain extraordinary relationships with NYC Agency inspectors, department chiefs and heads of NYC utility companies
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve onsite dispute resolution, and foster cooperation amongst trade subcontractors.
- Ensure outstanding project safety, subcontractor performance, on-time scheduling, specification conformance and quality control.
- Maintain daily records, knowledge of DOB compliance and reporting requirements, take safety issues seriously.
- Familiarity with TCO inspection and approval process and understand what it takes to achieve TCO/completion.
- Work closely with your team, be accessible and courteous to the client, participate in meetings and be professional at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills are a must as is a passion for construction
- Experience with NYC construction market
- Possess at minimum DOB SST credentials (OSHA 30)
