Key Responsibilities
- Serve as technical subject matter expert in marine science and technology.
- Coordinate partnerships with NOAA laboratories, universities, and cooperative institutes.
- Support development and coordination of project plans and collaborative initiatives.
- Assist with preparation and submission of Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs) and Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs).
- Support various document and administrative actions concerning IAAs, MOUs, spend plan formulation, budget tracking, funds distribution, grants, Cooperative Institute task orders for approve projects and serve as point of contact (POC) for project reporting.
- Track project status, deliverables, and funding allocations.
- Coordinate communications among partner institutions.
- Monitor progress of funded projects and ensure documentation and reporting requirements are met.
- Support strategic planning for future research initiatives.
- Advanced degree in oceanography, marine science, ocean engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in ocean science, technology development, or marine research program management.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-institutional research partnerships.
- Knowledge of federal research funding programs and proposal processes.
- Strong technical communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience working with NOAA or similar federal science programs preferred.
