Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Structural Engineer based in Merritt Island, FL, with some flexibility for remote work. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, designing, and analyzing structural projects to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, preparing structural calculations, creating detailed design reports, performing site inspections, and contributing to project planning and execution. The role will also involve mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the quality of deliverables across multiple phases of engineering projects.
Qualifications
- Expertise in structural engineering design, analysis, and modeling using industry-standard software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of materials science, structural systems, and relevant construction methods
- Experience with technical documentation, project reporting, and structural analysis
- Proficiency in building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills to guide teams and collaborate with stakeholders
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural design and engineering projects
