Job Summary:
The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating regulatory compliance initiatives across the organization. This role ensures the company maintains full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain operations. The position also supports select corporate projects as assigned by the Director of Compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Regulatory Change Management
- Monitor and assess emerging regulations, industry standards, and legal developments impacting manufacturing and distribution.
- Initiate and manage compliance projects in response to regulatory or legal changes.
- Maintain a regulatory change tracker and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
Project Leadership
- Lead cross-functional compliance projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop and manage project scopes, timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, R&D, Quality, IT, EHS, and Sustainability (ESG).
- Support product certification and testing initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as primary liaison between Operations, Engineering, Product Technology, Quality, IT, EHS, ESG, and Marketing/Sales.
- Engage external labs, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies as needed.
- Facilitate meetings, track deliverables, and maintain alignment across stakeholders.
Compliance Readiness
- Prepare the organization for upcoming compliance deadlines.
- Facilitate training sessions and create materials to support regulatory awareness.
- Support internal audits and compliance readiness assessments.
Process Improvement & Implementation
- Identify opportunities to improve compliance workflows and documentation processes.
- Implement tools, databases, or tracking systems that enhance compliance efficiency.
- Assist with integrating compliance data into enterprise systems.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain audit-ready compliance records and documentation.
- Provide progress reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.
- Track KPIs related to compliance effectiveness and cost savings.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance principles in manufacturing or distribution.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership abilities.
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory language and technical data.
- Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and strong influencing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Computer Science, Compliance, ESG, Business, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, legal operations, or project management within manufacturing or distribution.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex cross-functional projects.
- Knowledge of domestic and international product compliance standards.
- Familiarity with product testing, certification, and labeling requirements.
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
- Experience with compliance or project management tools preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Primarily desk-based work involving extended periods of computer use.
- Ability to walk through office and manufacturing environments as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Typical office noise levels.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
