Duties of the EHS Manager include:
Ensure compliance with company, industry, and government EHS regulations
Manage hazardous waste disposal, air permitting, and wastewater treatment
Have continuous communication and good relationships with outside agencies including OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.
Lead internal and external EHS audits
Manage and direct EHS department personnel
Manage and ensure compliance with Process Safety Management regulations
Update and improve accident response procedures
Lead accident investigations and follow up with the implementation of future preventative measures
Monitor EHS data and KPIs related to EHS to determine where changes or updates can be completed
Manage, improve, and lead EHS training
Work with other managers in the plant to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant facility
Create a proactive safety environment throughout the facility
Requirements of the EHS Manager include:
Education and certifications within the EHS field
Previous EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership skills and proactive mentality
Prior experience with PSM (Process Safety Management)
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
