Our client is a family run, global manufacturing organization that prides themselves on providing a desirable work-life balance. This non-union plastic processing facility near Cleveland has an extremely close-knit team of roughly 100 employees. They are currently looking to hire a new Engineering Manager.
Main duties include:
Directly manage a team of 10-12 engineers and manufacturing plant personnel while reporting directly to the Plant Manager
Utilize Lean/Six Sigma tools to optimize processes throughout the facility
Establish goals/metrics for team members to achieve
Aid in bringing new capital equipment into the facility
Monitor KPIs and ensure monthly and quarterly manufacturing goals are achieved
Develop manufacturing department budgets
Work closely with engineering to change product designs in order to improve manufacturability
Qualifications include:
BS degree in a technical field strongly preferred, but not required
Experience with plastics and/or injection molding strongly preferred
Lean/Six Sigma experience desired
Exceptional leadership and communication skills. At least 5-10 years of experience leading a team of engineers
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
