Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:

  • To organize, develop, and direct nursing administration and patient care.
  • Develops and maintains nursing service objectives and standards of nursing practice.
  • Develops and maintains nursing objectives and standards for the building.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain nursing service policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with two years experience in long term care management.
  • Experience as a Director of Nursing required
  • Working knowledge of MDS, care plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and PPS.
  • Diploma from a school of nursing or a two-year degree or higher in nursing required.
  • Must have at least 1 year experience in a supervisory/nursing role
