The Food Runner is responsible for providing consistent, efficient, personalized and prompt food and beverage service in our restaurant, while ensuring that Omni Hotel & Resort standards are always met.
Local 26 Contract stipulates starting rate per hour at $21.18 and after 6 Months of service, rate increases to $22.70 per hour. After one year of service, hourly rate per hour increases to $30.26.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests when entering the rooms with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
- Set up according to type of event and service standards.
- Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections.
- Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
- Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order.
- Present accurate check to guest and process payment.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
- Clean and set up.
- Complete closing duties.
- Perform any other duties required by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 years of food/beverage service preferred.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Knowledge of Micros preferred
- Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
- Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm, engaging, and personalized service.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
- Computer literacy to include Payroll systems, Micros, POS systems
- Serve Safe certified | Unexpired TIPs required.
