- During pre-season, operate chainsaws, weed trimmers and other tree removal equipment in a safe manner.
- During snowmaking season, operate all snowmaking equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Set up, break down and move snowmaking equipment around the mountain to expand trail count.
- Ensure a high quality snow product throughout all weather conditions.
- Operate all vehicles including snowmobiles and ATVs in a safe manner.
- Perform basic snowmaking equipment maintenance.
- Competitive starting wage with higher wages based on past experience.
- 12 hour day and night shifts available. Must be flexible with weekly schedule.
- Temporary/ seasonal housing available.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
- Subject to long periods of walking and standing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to walk up and down steep mountain terrain in a variety of winter weather conditions
- Sets a standard by being to work on time and when scheduled.
- Creates a team environment in order to ensure a quality product.
- Provides constructive feedback to crew-members.
- Works safety around all equipment including high-pressure air and water.
- Safely operates snowmobiles and avoids open terrain when at all possible.
- Reports any unsafe instances to a Supervisor.
- Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
- Constantly remembers that they are an essential part of the mountain operation and respects other departments.
- Demonstrates initiative and versatility.
- Has a strong knowledge of the job and can effectively train others.
- Mechanical experience and hydraulic knowledge are required.
- Must be available to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays
