As an experienced Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with Lucero’s standards. Overview
Lucero, the premier rooftop dining destination at Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As an experienced Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with Lucero’s standards. This position focuses on dinner service, requiring expertise in evening culinary operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Chef de Cuisine, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies for dinner service.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking.
- Execute precise knife skills, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
- Monitor food quality while cooking and ensure proper seasoning and presentation.
- Work efficiently to manage time and resources during busy dinner shifts.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Present a calm demeanor and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work PM shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
