What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable broadband and backbone network infrastructure
- Lead deployment and optimization of routing, transport, and peering environments
- Provide Tier 3 escalation support for critical network and performance issues
- Develop network standards, engineering templates, and operational best practices
- Perform testing and validation for new hardware, platforms, and configurations
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, transport, fiber, and CPE environments
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and the NOC to support network growth and reliability
- Mentor engineers and provide advanced technical leadership across the organization
- Support maintenance windows, limited on-call activities, and operational escalations as needed
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience
- 5–10 years of experience in network engineering, architecture, or ISP operations
- Strong expertise with BGP, MPLS, OSPF/IS-IS, IPv6, NAT/CG-NAT, and VPN technologies
- Experience with broadband service provider networks and backbone infrastructure
- Hands-on knowledge of routing, switching, fiber transport, peering, and subscriber technologies
- Experience with platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Nokia, or similar technologies
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and documentation skills
- Ability to independently lead complex technical initiatives
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS/JNCIP, or similar are a plus
