Position Qualifications:
Twenty One years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent certification. Experience in an educational office or records keeping environment preferred.
Ability to operate a computer, Microsoft Office Suite, photo copier, and other office equipment.
Able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Able to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
Able to type forty (40) words per minute with 90% accuracy.
Successful clearance of a Government Background check and any other necessary security clearances as directed by the Government.
General Responsibilities:
The General Clerk II requires familiarity with the terminology of the Program Support Office Unit and performs whole tasks from start to finish. The General Clerk II selects appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals including internal SOPs and the Procedures Manual. The clerical steps often vary in type or sequence, depending on the task. Applies critical thinking to basic tasks. When problems arise the General Clerk II bring the issue to the attention of a supervisor.
The General Clerk II will:
Support FLETC Glynco programs, Center Advanced, Center Basics, Center Integrated Basics, SLTD exports and the TSA agency specific programs.
Maintain the final program roster for practical exercises via Microsoft Excel
Generate master grades and transcripts and verify and enter firearms scores, PEB scores, practical exercise postings and have knowledge of agency requirements in all areas per program.
Once all scores/grades are received, determine if there is an Honor Graduate or Distinguished Graduate. Generate all required awards for each program, double check with scores for accuracy with each Division
Double check the work unit’s work product before materials are inspected by project management and quality control.
Set up orientations for Center Advanced programs and attend the orientations to verify the SASS information for each student
Follow directives of supervisors and follow applicable instruction and adhere to deadlines as instructed and as detailed in the Government procedures manual
Generate the End of Class Reports, file each program into a class folder and prepare for storage in records warehouse.
Grades Exams via IT systems or by hand using Government provided grading materials at the direction of the PM & APM
Enter all required data from Registration forms to Demographic forms for all FLETC Glynco programs
Process and file class documents and photos
Keep files in neat and orderly manner and maintain records as required
Prepares class documents and forms and checks them for accuracy, reviews work of General Clerk Is for accuracy, compiles class documents in complete packets for approval by supervisors and distribution to appropriate personnel
Prepare other miscellaneous class materials
Use intermediate skill to perform tasks via office SOPs and software such as MS Word and Excel
Perform Data Entry in various IT programs
General Requirements:
Keep chain of command informed of significant issues or developments related to their area of responsibility.
Immediately report all accidents to the supervisor.
Comply with policies and practices listed in the company’s employee handbook.
Comply with all FLETC and company security requirements.
Maintain a correct time sheet. Verify accuracy by signature.
Ensure confidentially of company policies, practices, procedures, budgets, expenditures, work methods and personal data.
Perform other basic clerical duties as assigned.
