Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of residents, ensuring safety and adherence to community guidelines.
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary, de-escalating conflicts and responding promptly to emergencies.
- Assist with childcare responsibilities for residents with families or dependents, supporting their developmental needs.
- Maintain security protocols by monitoring entrances, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring a safe environment for all residents.
- Support behavioral health initiatives through behavioral management techniques and emotional support.
- Conduct intake assessments for new residents, collecting relevant data and coordinating case management services.
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and document medication administration accurately.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Collect data on resident progress and incident reports; maintain organized filing systems for documentation purposes.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a residential or social services setting.
- Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Experience with childcare, addiction counseling, or behavioral health is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of security procedures and conflict management strategies.
- Background in social work or home & community care is preferred.
- Ability to perform data entry, filing, and data collection accurately and efficiently.
- Certification in first aid and medication administration is required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse populations.
