Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to serve as the single point of contact for a critical network support contract at the Missoula Discovery Network. This role blends project management, financial oversight, and high-level (Tier 3) network engineering. You will be physically located on-site at the and must be available to provide support at the University of Missoula Forestry Sciences Lab, including emergency after-hours support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract & Program Management: Serve as the technical point of contact for the contract and supervise other personnel.
- Strategic Planning: Provide technical advice to leadership to develop and execute the overall technology strategy and roadmaps.
- Financial Oversight: Provide design and cost estimates for proposed environment changes and assist in preparing technology acquisition packages.
- Compliance & Security: Assist the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in maintaining the ATO Package and resolving Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM).
- Tier-3 Network Engineering: Maintain ongoing design and configuration documentation for the network environment.
- Surge Support: Provide critical support for the Discovery Network that the day-to-day on-site contractor is unable to perform.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in IT project management and advanced network engineering.
- Ability to make authoritative decisions and proactively alert the Government to potential contractual issues.
- Cisco Certified Field Technician (Highly Preferred).
- CompTIA Security (Highly Preferred).
- CompTIA Network (Highly Preferred).
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a USDA LincPass (HSPD-12 PIV card).
