What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Associate position at OMJ Clothing?
You’re not just folding shirts. You’re folding confidence into every conversation.
At OMJ, we believe in making people feel great by helping them look great. We’re not your average clothing brand—and this isn’t your average retail role. Our Retail Associates are the heartbeat of our store: part stylist, part operations guru, part customer experience wizard... and 100% essential.
A Day in the Life
No two days are exactly alike. But most of them will include:
- Welcoming guests with good vibes and genuine style advice.
- Speaking confidently about our custom suiting, shirt-making magic, and the OMJ experience.
- Keeping the store looking fresh: folding, steaming, merchandising, and styling mannequins.
- Running the day-to-day like a boss: managing priorities, providing real-time feedback, and ensuring guests leave with more than just clothes—leave with a story.
- Helping with fittings and alterations (don’t worry—we’ll train you on the pinning part).
- Handling shipping, receiving, and online order pick-ups like a pro.
- Supporting social media efforts: think reels, content ideas, Pinterest boards, and brand-right storytelling.
- Playing team quarterback when needed—communicating with stylists, vendors, and photographers.
Must-Haves
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about making people feel like the best version of themselves.
- Has a great attitude and an even better sense of humor (we take the work seriously, not ourselves).
- Can manage time like a champ—even when the day gets a little hectic.
- Isn’t afraid to pitch in, speak up, and have fun doing it.
- Embraces feedback and rolls with the punches—retail is fluid, and so are you.
