Job Description:
Omitron is seeking a full-time Systems Administrator with experience and a desire to support system and network administration for large-scale mission critical programs supporting the Space Domain Awareness/Command and Control (SDA/C2) mission.
Responsibilities include:
- System administration and maintenance of servers, file systems, platforms, and infrastructures
- Monitoring and maintaining critical network services and network storage
- Configuring and maintaining hardware and virtual systems
- Installing and patching software and services
Skill Requirements:
- Strong systems administration background and CompTIA Security
- Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Background in virtualization and virtual networks (VMware, Cisco, or Red Hat)
- Familiarity with network devices, firewalls, switches, and routers
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (languages vary - Python, MATLAB, C# etc)
- Strong background in Microsoft Office Product Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
- Background in Windows Server and Windows 10 Administration
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Detail oriented, able to obtain results, and make technical recommendations to leadership or program management
- Ability to support 24/7 on-call response on a rotational basis
Required Experience:
- Six years of Systems Administration experience
- CompTIA Security
- Prior systems or network administration experience on a DOD, USAF, USSF, or NASA mission
- Familiarity with cybersecurity
- Familiarity with scripting
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of spacecraft communications and ground systems
- All candidates must possess excellent communications skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Certification: CCNA, CCNP, Cloud , OS and the desire to pursue additional certifications
- Experience with Networking
- Previous NIPR or SIPR Administrator Experience
Required Degree:
- BS degree in a relevant field is preferred (Computer Science, Cyber Security, Math, or Engineering)
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI clearance
- US citizenship required
