OMG National, a 35-year-old marketing firm, is seeking technical and self-motivated individuals for our entry-level Optimization Specialist (OS) position! This is full-time employment and an opportunity to join our growing family. The OS is primarily responsible for using our systems and process to fulfill and optimize various online marketing-based services for our Small to Medium Size Business (SMB) clients. The position entails working with our client-facing service layer, in-house designers/developers, SEO and paid ad specialists, social media staff and other company stakeholders. This position places a heavy emphasis on technical ability, time management, and interdepartmental communication. OS’s are in direct positions to advance into our Digital Marketing Specialist position if their interest, abilities and performance allows.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Optimizing a client's GBP’s page using best practices to improve local rank.
- Conduct thorough audits of existing GBP listings to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices for GBP titles, descriptions, categories, and keywords.
- Optimize images, videos, and other multimedia content for visibility and engagement.
- Ensure consistent and accurate information across all online platforms.
- Responding to all incoming reviews that are generated on a daily basis.
- Creating and answering incoming questions that derive from our client’s GBP page.
- Creating products and services posts on clients’ GBP pages.
- Creating and claiming different listings on behalf of the client, such as Nextdoor, BBB, etc.
Qualifications
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- A strong passion for Local Search, SEO and digital content.
- Knowledge of factors that influence search engine rankings (for both Organic and Local Rank).
- Familiarity with platforms such as Google My Business, Facebook Business Pages, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
- Ability to think strategically to identify and define keyword opportunities for optimization.
- Experience with paid search (Google Ad, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of G-Suite (Including Docs, Sheets, Hangouts, Email, Calendar & Drive).
- Knowledge of various marketing platforms and optimization tools is a plus.
- Web design and development skills are a plus.
