Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely across the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using
pick techniques and ensure accurate selection of items for shipment or inventory. - Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for quality, and documenting all transactions accurately.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic repairs on forklifts and other heavy machinery to maintain optimal operation.
- Assist in warehouse management tasks such as stock organization, inventory counts, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Follow OSHA safety standards diligently by adhering to proper lifting techniques, operating heavy equipment safely, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), order picking procedures, and materials handling techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to lift heavy loads regularly while maintaining proper lifting techniques for safety.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is preferred.
