Our intentionally small resident census, diverse support team and creative solutions enable our staff to better understand, connect with and provide individualized, relationship-based support to our resident family more than anywhere else.

The Role

We have several direct caregiver roles available: Caregivers and CMAs.

As a direct caregiver, you’ll be the heart of our community. Your job is to understand each of our residents' personal goals, needs and preferences and provide the personal assistance to facilitate them in a safe, dignified and empowering manner. You take pride in making life easier.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. In addition to your patience and empathy, you are sharp, attentive, proactive, consistent and reliable. You anticipate needs, are organized and consider potential solutions to any problems you observe.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and support residents with their personal developmental and maintenance goals and needs
• Provide companionship, emotional support and meaningful engagement to promote their well-being
• Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting and meals
• Observe, document and maintain accurate regular records of care and services provided and promptly report any observed changes
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment by assisting with light housekeeping where needed
• Be our residents’ advocate! Proactively anticipate and respond to their needs. Be their eyes, ears and mouth piece communicating their needs to other staff members and the leadership team.
• Administer medications as prescribed safely and accurately
• Document medication administration and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with the implementation of care plans developed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patients’ conditions by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Prior personal caregiving, healthcare or social work experience or training
• Compassionate, patient and strong organization and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small, supportive team environment.
• Commitment to resident dignity and personalized care.
• CNA or CMA certification is a plus (not required for all roles).
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques a plus (not required)
• CMA role only:
• Current Texas CMA certification in good standing.
• Prior caregiver experience in senior living, assisted living, home care, or healthcare
