What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Manager - Education Workforce Solutions position at OmegaHires?
The Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and closing new business opportunities within K-12 school districts and educational organizations. You will act as the primary point of contact for district-level administrators, diagnosing their staffing challenges and positioning Omega Hires’ recruitment infrastructure and RPO services as the solution.
What You’ll Do
- Active Prospecting: Drive daily outbound activity (calls, LinkedIn, and email) to identify new leads and build a consistent pipeline of educational partnerships.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial cold outreach and discovery to proposal development and closing.
- Solution Selling: Consult with district HR directors and administrators to understand their educator and support-staff needs, tailoring our RPO and staffing models to fit their budget and goals.
- Market Expansion: Focus on building revenue streams within K-12 districts, charter networks, and private educational institutions.
- Collaboration: Partner with our recruitment and delivery teams in the US and India to ensure client requirements are met with high-quality talent.
- CRM Integrity: Maintain precise records of all sales activities, contacts, and deal stages within our CRM to ensure accurate forecasting.
Who You Are
- The Hunter: You thrive on finding new opportunities and have a "no-quit" attitude when it comes to cold outreach and follow-up.
- A Relationship Builder: You can quickly build rapport with busy educational leaders, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor rather than just a vendor.
- Results-Oriented: You are motivated by hitting and exceeding monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Agile: You can pivot your messaging between traditional staffing needs and complex RPO solutions with ease.
What You Need
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven success in sales, preferably within the staffing, RPO, or education technology sectors.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; you must be comfortable presenting to small groups and high-level administrators.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools (HubSpot/Salesforce), and modern outreach software.
- Educational Knowledge: A basic understanding of the K-12 landscape and its unique hiring cycles/challenges is a strong plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
