Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical knowledge and industrial maintenance, with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot various systems. This role involves working on industrial dehydration and thermal-treatment systems as well as other ancillary equipment.
Duties
- Perform equipment assembly prior to shipping equipment.
- Travel to customer's plant to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency.
Experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills, proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment in the field utilizing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical blueprints, diagrams, and user manuals to understand equipment layout and operation.
- Strong manual dexterity and physical ability to carry out repairs, including lifting heavy equipment and working in challenging field conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical information to clients, team members, and management in a concise and understandable manner.
- Exceptional customer service skills to build trust with clients, respond to their concerns effectively, and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
- Time management skills to complete tasks within set deadlines, efficiently manage multiple assignments, and adapt to changing schedules and unexpected delays.
- Basic computer literacy for maintaining service logs, writing reports, and ordering parts.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different service locations as required by the job
