Industrial HVAC Lead / Supervisor
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial HVAC Lead Technician to oversee industrial HVAC operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and team coordination. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in industrial environments and must be capable of developing, writing, and implementing HVAC procedures, safety protocols, and maintenance documentation.
This is a leadership role requiring hands-on technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage crews while maintaining compliance with company and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of industrial HVAC experience REQUIRED
- Proven leadership experience supervising HVAC technicians and contractors
- MUST be able to write procedures, SOPs, maintenance plans, and safety documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on industrial HVAC systems
- Experience with chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air handlers, package units, exhaust systems, and ventilation systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong understanding of OSHA and industrial safety requirements
- Experience coordinating shutdowns, turnarounds, and preventive maintenance programs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise industrial HVAC crews on daily operations and projects
- Develop and write HVAC operating procedures, maintenance procedures, and safety procedures
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on industrial HVAC systems
- Coordinate manpower, schedules, and project execution
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
- Conduct inspections and quality control checks
- Train and mentor HVAC technicians
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Support plant operations during outages and emergency repairs
Preferred Qualifications
- HVAC certification or trade school training
- EPA Certification
- Experience in petrochemical, refinery, manufacturing, or industrial plant environments
- Experience with CMMS systems
Pay: $85.00 - $90.00 per hour
