Position: Project Manager
Reports To: Director of Professional Services
Division: Technical Services
FSLA: Exempt
Office Designation: In Office

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to determined timelines and budgets. Building and managing project teams, ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycle, and providing concise reporting and documentation to both the Project Sponsors and Omega Systems leadership.
Functional Responsibility and Task Statements
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Draft and communicate concise project plans to various audiences.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements.
- Track project costs to meet budget.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
- Monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Schedule onsite or remote engineers for project work.
- Coordinate with customers and vendors for project implementation.
Leadership and People Responsibilities
- This role does not have direct supervisory responsibility. However, this role should display the ability to influence and lead team members in the execution of tasks and assignments.
- Work with other colleagues within Omega’s teams to ensure successful project deliveries.
- Work with colleagues and peers to identify and implement process improvements with the goal of enriching and improving project efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that effective working relationships at all levels are achieved by simplifying complex technical messages and acting as an advocate of Omega’s Customer support teams both externally and internally.
Technical Responsibility and Task Statements
- General understanding of technical systems, terms, and vernacular
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project
- Experience with Microsoft Teams
- Experience with ConnectWise or similar ticketing system
- Maintain both internal and customer-facing project documentation to be used by Omega System’s technical support teams.
- Incumbent(s) in this position may be required to perform other duties and special assignments not specifically stated.
Environmental: The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is required for this position.
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- 5 years of project management and related experience
- 3-5 years of experience in an Information Technology role preferred
- Experience in the Managed Services industry is a bonus but not strictly required
- Proven ability to solve problems and resolve internal and customer-facing conflicts
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full lifecycle
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
