Overview
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at an assigned client location. This role involves protecting personnel, property, and assets through vigilant surveillance, proactive security measures, and excellent customer service. The officer ensures compliance with all security regulations and standards while providing a professional presence on-site. The position requires a combination of physical security skills, customer service abilities, and the capacity to handle emergency situations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff as needed.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential threats or misconduct.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or alarms to ensure safety.
- Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting any security-related occurrences.
- Enforce security policies and procedures in compliance with company and legal regulations.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary to assist individuals in distress.
- De-escalate conflicts or tense situations through effective communication and conflict resolution techniques.
- Follow all safety protocols and security regulations to uphold a secure environment.

Requirements
- Proven experience in security or related fields preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical security duties including patrolling and monitoring premises.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict de-escalation skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
- Good written communication skills for incident report documentation.
- Knowledge of security procedures, regulations, and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and respond quickly when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in security is a plus.
