Summary

The Engineer will assist in planning, designing, and analyzing various heavy lifts and transport projects. They will work closely with the operations, permitting and dispatching team to provide credible and specialized engineering for current and future heavy lifts and transport projects. Remote work possible. This is deemed a safety sensitive position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Become familiar with Omega Morgan's equipment and capabilities to support operations.
• Plan and analyze heavy lift and transport projects.
• Oversee project execution as required.
• Travel as required to support projects, sales, planning, and operations.
• Design equipment, create fabrication drawings, and supporting documentation.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Civil (Structural) or Mechanical Engineering Degree (PE / EIT preferred)
• AutoCAD 3D solid modeling
• FEA software experience
• MS Office
• Capable of working independently
• Minimum 5 years experience, 10 preferred.
• Understanding of rigging equipment/process, crane requirements, load calculations, and load charts.
• Evaluation of lifting plans and activities.
