Do Work That Matters
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist, you’ll work directly in the community to help people move from career goals to competitive employment and long-term success.
What You’ll Do
- Help individuals identify career goals, strengths, interests, and employment opportunities.
- Provide hands-on job coaching and support during interviews, orientations, training, and onboarding.
- Build relationships with local employers and connect individuals with meaningful employment.
- Support workplace accommodations, assistive technology, and natural workplace supports.
- Encourage positive relationships between participants, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Document services and maintain required PCP/IEP and program records.
- Provide community or employment transportation when needed, with mileage reimbursed.
What We’re Looking For
You qualify through one of the following pathways:
Required:
- A relevant work or life experience
supporting individuals with disabilities. - Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
- Willingness to travel throughout the service area.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.
Experience in the following is a plus:
- Vocational rehabilitation
- Employment services or job coaching
- Workforce development
- Human or disability services
- Case management
- Working with veterans or individuals with disabilities
