Key Responsibilities
- Safe & Smooth Transit: Operate company vehicles (primarily buses) with a "safety-first" mindset, whether on a fixed schedule or on-demand.
- Compassionate Assistance: Provide "door-to-door" care by assisting passengers with mobility challenges, ensuring wheelchairs and assistive devices are secured with precision.
- Vehicle Stewardship: Conduct rigorous pre- and post-trip inspections. You are the first line of defense in identifying maintenance needs and keeping our fleet in top-tier condition.
- Meticulous Record-Keeping: Maintain digital or manual logs for mileage, fuel, and passenger transport with high accuracy.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent Omega Health Services on the road by practicing courteous driving and providing exceptional customer service.
What You Bring to the Table
The Essentials:
- Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement (Required).
- Experience: 2 years of professional driving experience (Experience in healthcare or paratransit is a major plus).
- Safety Record: A clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a DOT physical and mandatory drug/alcohol screenings.
- Local Knowledge: High familiarity with Chantilly and the surrounding Northern Virginia/DC Metro road networks.
