Reliability Engineer – Controls
Report to VP Solar Technology.
Job description
• Member of a product development team for an advanced control system.
• Evaluate and report on reliability issues.
• Gather data from in-house testing, external testing, and field sites.
• Conduct analysis, including root cause, Pareto, etc.
• Work with design engineers, including software engineers, to design failures out.
• Publish internal reports and lead discussions toward product improvement.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers.
• Publish customer-facing reports.
• Propose strategies for continuous reliability improvement.
Minimum requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Reliability Engineering or equivalent.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Reliability Engineering.
• Ability to draft test plans, reports, and procedures and explain these to other teammates.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Communication skills, including written and verbal.
• Strong time management skills.
• Based in metro Phoenix.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
Additional experience desired
• Solar experience is a plus.
• Experience in a product development environment.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
