Description
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for training installation teams, verification & commissioning of new and existing OMCO products at photovoltaic power plants.
Working Conditions
Work at each site can range from a couple to several days until work is complete. This position will report to the Phoenix facility when not traveling. Work performed will be outdoors, often at remote sites. Conditions may range from high temperatures to snow, wind, and rain.
Essential Job Duties

- Perform start-up and commissioning for new installations.
- Inspect physical installation (wiring, connections and mechanical condition).
- Power up, set all required parameters and ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues.

Minimum Requirements
- 2 year technical degree preferred
- 2 year’s industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic electromechanical concepts
- Aptitude to understand, read, and comprehend plans, and specifications
- Experience using industry specific tools safely, including but not limited to pliers, crimps, strip tools, testers, and screwdrivers
- Proven ability to work independently
- Proven teamwork skills
- Great interpersonal, oral and written skills.
- Requires analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
