Pediatric Physical Therapist in Elkhorn, Bellevue, and Omaha locations
Qualifications
- Preference to experience with pediatric but not required
- Graduation from a physical therapy education program is required
- Licensed or eligible for license to practice Physical Therapy by the Nebraska State Department of Health is required
- Displayed proficiency in the use of common physical therapy standardized assessments, an understanding of childhood development, and the use of treatment procedures is required prior to and following hire
- Completion of HIPAA and immunization requirements prior to patient care is required
- Completion of background check is required
- Provide high quality, evidence-based, family-centered care
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients with known or suspected health conditions and performs therapeutic treatment procedures as indicated
- Makes patient referrals to other health care agencies/disciplines as indicated
- Instructs patients and family members in individualized activity programs designed to maximize functional abilities
- Completes timely documentation
- Coordinates care with other members of the health care team across the continuum of care
- Supports the advancement of function and mobility while preparing the pediatric patient for discharge from an inpatient setting
- Makes appropriate discharge recommendations including services and equipment
