As an Engineer I you will be responsible for keeping all building and equipment in good repair, minimizing down time by providing day-to-day maintenance and performing preventative maintenance of the hotel.

What will you be doing?
- Perform daily shift reports including documenting all calls in the Engineers log, monitoring and closing out calls through Marriott GXP system.
- Adhere to all OSHA standards and procedures.
- Maintain building interior and exterior.
- Foster excellent guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all FF&E.
- Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water and provide recommendations for improved methods and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, repair and or maintain the following:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
- Previous engineering experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- CFC Certification for Refrigerant handling and Power Engineering Training Program certification preferred
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out, SDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates
- Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action, implement solutions and work as an indecent mechanic.
- Represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner.
- Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
