Position Summary
Omaha Backyard Living is seeking a dependable, hardworking General Landscaper to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces, and values teamwork. As a General Landscaper, you will assist with a variety of landscaping, hardscaping, and outdoor construction projects while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain landscaping features, including trees, shrubs, plants, mulch, and decorative rock.
- Assist with hardscape installations such as patios, retaining walls, walkways, fire pits, and outdoor living spaces.
- Operate landscaping equipment and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform grading, excavation, and site preparation.
- Install sod, seed lawns, and irrigation components as needed.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Follow project plans and directions from crew leaders and supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous landscaping or construction experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more regularly.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
