OM Group, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to support logistics operations at our Lakehurst, NJ location. The Material Coordinator is responsible for the receipt, storage, distribution, and tracking of government-furnished and contractor-acquired materials in accordance with SCA standards and applicable federal regulations. This position plays a key role in maintaining material readiness and ensuring smooth supply chain support for mission-critical programs. Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently receive shipments and ensure accurate routing into warehouse
- Manage multiple tasks well, staying organized and prioritizing your work
- Collect and organize raw materials and components needed for production
- Record material returns and keep track of materials using our computer system
- Help with receiving new materials
- Assist in delivering materials, including FedEx shipments
- Support shipping finished goods and samples when needed
- Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to track work orders
- Help dispose of materials that can't be used
- Oversee the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) area
- Give directions to forklift drivers and assign tasks
- Count inventory regularly
- Follow safety rules and keep the warehouse organized and clean
- Pay close attention to details to avoid mistakes and quickly correct errors
- Lifting and moving items of up to 50 pounds
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures including those related to weather-related hazards, such as slippery surfaces in rain or snow, or heat-related precautions in extreme temperatures
- Operate equipment or machinery outdoors in the hangar or open area while considering the impact of weather conditions on safe operation
- High School diploma or GED and 0-2 years of relevant experience, or a similar combination of education and experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; team player
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds
- Ability to work in an exposed hangar and outdoors work areas with different weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.
- Attention to detail and willingness to quickly ask for help to correct mistakes
- US Citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation
- Reliable transportation to and from the US Air Force base in Lakehurst, NJ
- Availability to work an alternating four day, ten hour (4/10) schedule every other week, all daytime hours, weekends off
- $28.91 per hour, minimal overtime available and must be approved
- All federal holidays off plus two weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) per year
