Software Engineer – Journeyman 2

OM Group, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer – Journeyman 2, who will be responsible for delivering advanced software solutions and integrations for DoD and Intelligence Community systems. This position requires deep technical expertise and the ability to tackle complex development challenges while working closely with other team members to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver application development, enhancements, and integration services for OHASIS and Socium GIS
• Lead complex software design, development, integration, and testing for DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) systems
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team environment
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience within the past 10 years, including 5 years of complex experience for DoD or IC systems
• Proficiency in web-based application development languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, .NET)
• Experience with relational databases, APIs, and geospatial technologies
• Experience managing server environments, software configurations, and system security controls
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, including RMF and ATO processes.
• Familiarity with cloud and on-premises environments
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative development methodologies
• IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security )
• Travel: up to 10%
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Contingent upon award; expected to begin in January 2026
• Compensation will be determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, and market conditions, with an expected range of $120,000 to $140,000
