About the Role:

The Sewing Technician II plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by ensuring the precise and efficient assembly of textile products through expert sewing techniques. This position requires a deep understanding of sewing machinery, fabric types, and production standards to maintain high-quality output. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve sewing issues, optimize workflow, and uphold safety protocols. By maintaining equipment and adhering to quality control measures, the Sewing Technician II contributes directly to meeting production targets and customer satisfaction. This role demands attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to continuous improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Minimum of 3 years experience operating industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing setting.


• Basic knowledge of sewing techniques, fabric types, and garment construction.


• Ability to read and interpret production specifications and quality standards.


• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or formal training in sewing technology or textile manufacturing.


• Experience with computerized sewing equipment and automated production lines.


• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.


• Ability to train and mentor junior sewing technicians.


• Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines and related equipment to produce high-quality sewn products according to specifications.


• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards and production guidelines.


• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with sewing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.


• Collaborate with production supervisors and team members to optimize sewing processes and implement improvements.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety protocols and reporting hazards promptly.
