Olympus Cove Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced, compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our independently owned small-animal practice in Millcreek, Utah.

Our clinic offers digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratory testing, surgery, dentistry, and general medical care for dogs and cats.

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and diagnostic procedures
- Obtain patient histories and accurately record vital signs, medications, and treatments
- Safely and compassionately handle dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments
- Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples
- Perform in-house laboratory testing, including bloodwork and urinalysis
- Take digital dental and full body radiographs and assist with ultrasound and other diagnostic procedures
- Prepare patients and equipment for surgery and dental procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments under a veterinarian’s direction
- Place and maintain IV catheters and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Review medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care with pet owners
- Maintain clean, organized treatment, surgical, laboratory, and kennel areas
- Help appointments and patient care move efficiently throughout the day
- Support coworkers and assist with other clinical responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is required
- Veterinary technician credential is preferred but not required
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, radiography, laboratory procedures, and medication administration is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and basic animal anatomy and physiology
- Strong low stress animal-handling and restraint skills
- Clear and compassionate communication with pet owners
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and attentive in a busy environment
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to communicate concerns directly, respectfully, and professionally
- Ability to accept feedback, take responsibility for mistakes, and help find solutions
- A team-oriented attitude without gossip, cliques, or unnecessary conflict
