Low Voltage Technician – Job Requirements

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The technician will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair low-voltage systems for residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring and equipment.
  • Install and service security camera (CCTV) systems.
  • Install access control, alarm, and intercom systems.
  • Install data/network cabling, including Cat5e/Cat6.
  • Read and follow wiring diagrams, blueprints, and installation plans.
  • Properly label, organize, and secure cables and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other trades.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and installation standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in low-voltage installation or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot wiring and equipment.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in tight spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CCTV/security cameras.
  • Experience with access control and alarm systems.
  • Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 and network cabling.
  • Low-voltage certification or relevant training.
  • OSHA or other safety training.
  • Experience reading construction plans and wiring diagrams.

Olympus Construction Management, LLC (“OCM”) is a small Construction Consulting firm based in Phoenix, AZ and we specialize in 3rd Party Healthcare Construction Management/Project Management and Owner’s Representation. Although we are based in Arizona, we have projects throughout the west. We become a part of the Owner’s team and continuously represent their interests on the project. Beginning at project conception, we manage the entire process from planning through occupancy and even beyond... all on behalf of the Owner. This means we are responsible for much more than just the construction portion of the project. We manage all aspects including planning, design, agency review, construction, medical & IT equipment procurement, FF&E fulfillment, project closeout, Owner move-in, and even assistance after occupancy. We work side-by-side with the Owner, listen to their needs and implement their goals into each project. Healthcare Construction projects can be complex so it is important to provide the Owner with accurate, timely, and professional services they can count on.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
