What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Assistant Teacher position at Olympic View Montessori?
Olympic View Montessori is a small preschool and kindergarten located in the Perrinville area of Edmonds. We operate September -June from 8:45 am-3:00 pm M-F. We offer a 2-week summer camp in July. We follow the Edmonds School District calendar.
We are looking to immediately hire an Assistant Teacher Monday through Friday. This position would be part-time, 8:00 am-12:30 pm, in the 5-day class on Monday and Friday, and full-time, 8:00 am-3:00 pm, in the 3-day class, Tuesday-Thursday. With the option to renew your contract as a full-time assistant for the 2024-2025 school year.
Child care experience and hours in WA state's Merit/Stars requested, as well as; CPR / First aid, background check, bloodborne pathogens, and food handler's card. Training opportunities can be provided if needed—there are opportunities for professional development and training.
Wage $ 17-20 DOE
Daily tasks will include:
– Setting up the classroom for the day
– Playground supervision
– Assisting with snacks and practical life activities
– Observation and record keeping
– Classroom clean-up, sanitizing, and “closing” procedures
– Following safety procedures and supervision of children
