Job Summary:
The Olympic Center in Lake Placid is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Multi-Sport Simulator Coordinator to oversee programming, scheduling, and events for our new Full Swing Multi-Sport Simulator. This role is ideal for someone with golf experience and a passion for creating fun, engaging guest experiences. The position requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate leagues, special events, and private bookings. This person will report directly to the OC Business Manager
Primary Responsibilities include:
Simulator Operations
- Manage scheduling, daily usage, and guest support for the simulator.
- Provide instruction and assistance, especially with golf-related programs.
- Ensure the simulator remains well-maintained and ready for use.
Event & Program Development
- Organize golf leagues, tournaments, clinics, and multi-sport events.
- Coordinate private parties, corporate rentals, and community programs.
- Create seasonal schedules to encourage repeat participation.
- Run promotional events in collaboration with the adjacent Roamers Café.
Guest Experience & Promotion
- Deliver outstanding customer service for all visitors.
- Assist with marketing efforts, social media promotion, and event outreach.
- Gather guest feedback to continually improve programming.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in golf instruction, coaching, or event management strongly preferred.
- Background in recreation, sports programming, or hospitality a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Availability for flexible, part-time scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
- Team player, working effectively with other departments & management
Wage/Salary:
This position is identified as a Grade 15 on the ORDA/CSEA schedule with a rate of $23.15 per hour. Part-time hours: estimated 15-25 hours/week, depending on programming schedule.
