We are seeking to add a Shop Equipment Technician to our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery, setup, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment in patients’ homes. Your work directly supports patient safety, comfort, and independence, while upholding our commitment to reliable service and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with a wide range of medical devices, including respiratory equipment and mobility aids
- Deliver and retrieve medical equipment and supplies to patients’ homes while providing exceptional customer service
- Assemble equipment and provide clear instructions and safety guidance to customers
- Safely use power tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain medical equipment to company standards
- Confirm delivery appointments with customers prior to departure
- Load and unload assigned company vehicle with daily deliveries and pickups
- Operate company vehicles across various routes, navigating diverse weather and road conditions
- Maintain accurate vehicle checklists, logs, and required documentation
- Perform routine care and basic maintenance of company vehicles and equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations
- Adapt to changing schedules and manage last-minute delivery or service adjustments
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1–2 years of relevant experience or completion of certification/vocational training preferred
- Ability to lift, move, and maneuver heavy items weighing up to 100 pounds
- Strong mechanical aptitude with skills in equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Basic diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for equipment-related issues
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather and road conditions with strong attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Possess, or be willing to obtain, a Washington State Department of Health Pharmacy Assistant License
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance
