As a full-time, onsite Pharmacy Technician specializing in Medication Synchronization at Olympic Pharmacy and Healthcare Services, your responsibilities will include processing prescriptions, dispensing medications, managing inventory, performing data-entry, and providing exceptional customer service, while working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will join a team that are active participants in our patient’s healthcare and well-being.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS must be met to be considered for this position:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in retail or healthcare pharmacy setting.
- 2-3 years experience in medication synchronization (Medsync)
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software.
- Recent experience processing a high-volume of prescriptions daily.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and measurements accurately.
- Proficient in the use of office equipment & pharmacy automated systems/applications/software/POS.
- Operates cash register and related front counter tasks.
- Effective communication skills; verbal and written.
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and team members in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Must live within a reasonable commute; preference will be given to those living locally.
Daily Activities are subject to change based on departmental needs:
- Receive and process prescriptions from patients or healthcare providers.
- Manage inventory efficiently, monitoring expiration dates, and restocking as needed.
- Process medications according to prescription orders, efficiently and safely.
- Responsible for medication synchronization process
- Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist in non-prescription sales by guiding customers to products, processing special orders, and cashiering.
- Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, processing insurance claims, and managing billing.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and safety protocols to ensure compliance with laws and protect patient health.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as directed by the Pharmacy Manager to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy.
