Job Description
The Supervisor, Diagnostic Imaging Non-Technical is responsible for supervision of the day-to-day operations of non-technical staff including, but not limited to, areas of centralized scheduling, transcription, Imaging file room and hospital reception /registration. Responsibilities also include assuring that patient care needs are met in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures in an environment that facilitates optimal, cost efficient patient care delivery. Work situations are varied and require prioritization, ability to use discretion, good judgment, problem solving, independent decision-making and strong leadership skills. Internal contacts include staff and management throughout OMC. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, and peers.
EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of formal imaging technology training in an AMA approved school preferred. Medical terminology and knowledge of anatomy preferred.
Experience
Three years supervisory experience preferred. Two years experience in diagnostic imaging and scheduling preferred.
LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
Current CPR training.
