The Olympic Housing Trust (OHT) is a community land trust serving Jefferson and Clallam Counties. It is dedicated to stewarding affordable housing for individuals and families earning below 80% of the area median income (AMI), with plans to expand support to households slightly above that threshold to address workforce housing needs. As a non-profit organization, OHT centers on creating long-term community benefits through affordable housing, community spaces, and other assets. The team member in this position is passionate about the programs and projects of the Olympic Housing Trust and raises funds to carry out essential mission work of the organization. The Development and Communications Manager is an influential and engaging leader who generates annual and long-term fundraising plans and oversees all fundraising activities; cultivates new and existing supporters of the mission of the Olympic Housing Trust (OHT); and maintains annual and multi-year member/donor relations. The Development and Communications Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Administrati

• Seek to understand short and long-term fundraising needs for the organization, take a leadership role in develop

• Envision, plan, and execute events to raise funds, educate, inspire, and thank vol

nteers, member and donors.
• Work closely with volunteers and outreach teams to ensure fundraising goals ar

e linked to progammatic needs.
• Stay current on fundraising best practices, bringing innovation and in

piration to intenal strategies.
• Support Annual Meeting efforts for the organization, in coordi

nation with the Excutive Director.
• Lead

• Seek out and apply for grants and assist with or take the

lead on grant appliations, as needed.
• Analyze current fundraising streams and strengthen alternative giving/fundraising strategies such as, planned giving, investment and retirement portfolios, and partnerships wit

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent exp

nce in related field – business, finance, mrketing, nonprofit leadership, communications
• At least two years in a role planning, organizing, and implementing fundraising events, developing fundraising budgets, and engagi

ng effectively with donors and potential donors oth through written and verbal communication.
• Working knowledge of f

ndraising practices and principles, demonstratedinterest in continued professional development.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to engage diplomatically, compe

llingly, and effectively in public forums and at eents when representing our mission and programs.
